Alchemy: A Therapeutic Writing Experience

Writing, Encounter, Support

“Very seldom do you come upon a space, a time like this, between act and act, when you may stop and simply be.”

- Ursula K. Le Guin

Here is such a space.

Alchemy is a 9 week therapeutic writing experience, in which you are deeply accompanied in your self exploration. Using writing throughout both to guide and ground us, we will meet for 8 weekly online sessions, which I facilitate with care, curiosity and sensitive rigour. We will pause for one week at the half way point to rest and digest before journeying onwards.

This is a co-created space of safety and containment, one in which you can feel the freedom to inquire and express, witness and wonder, remember and discover.

During the weekly sessions, live and online, we will write, share and discuss along a pathway of themes, and I will offer concepts from neuroscience, literature and philosophy to support and inspire us.

Nature and story will be our loyal companions.

New dates for 2026 coming soon.

What can I expect from alchemy?

I meet you exactly as you are.

With care, compassion and curiosity, I help you to understand how and why you experience the world from your unique perspective.

I offer spacious acknowledgment of your lived reality at the same time as communicating with deep empathy from my own.

  • Together, we explore the landscape of your experience while we encounter the stories you have come to live by.

  • Together, we hold your stories in the light of your new awareness, understanding the reasons why you may have become attached to living life according to this narrative.

  • Your words, your companions, and myself are your steadfast guides as you navigate both the challenges and the rewards of living in greater authenticity

We celebrate the integration of all you have learned and unlearned, as you begin to joyfully create the new story of your life.

Dates & Price

Alchemy is £675 for Spring / Summer 2025, with payment options below. If you would like to discuss an alternative payment plan than those listed, please do let me know.

The next upcoming programme (NOW FULL) will run on Tuesday mornings 9.30-11am, beginning on 29th April and concluding with our final session on 24th June.

Creative writing exercises will be posted weekly, using the shared online platform. These are optional, there to accompany and deepen the Alchemy experience should you choose. The two one-to-one therapeutic sessions will be arranged between us privately, in line with the middle and end of the course.

I love talking about therapeutic writing, and so I really love conversations with those who are curious about Alchemy. Whether you just know you're ready to take your place on the course, or if you'd like to follow that glimmer of curiosity, just send me a message.

Please note, due to training commitments later this year, the next dates for Alchemy will be in 2026.

  • “What I really want to say is how incredibly grateful I am to each of you for being alongside me on this journey. For sharing your words, creating a safe & supportive space and for accepting me as I am. I’m not sure I’ll ever convey how much that acceptance was felt and how healing it was for me.”

  • “It has been so key in my personal journey of inner evolution, but also in how I live in the world - the person I am and the choices I make. How I relate to myself has changed, and the practicality of cementing a writing habit for myself is invaluable.”

  • “I have especially enjoyed being deeply moved by the shared human experiences between us participants and feeling more grounded in myself as a result as these observations settle. I am delighted to feel clearer on what I want to convey in my writing. I have more confidence and a greater desire to play with words.”

  • “I'd been looking to others for guidance, direction and approval for my whole life. I felt like a scared girl who wanted to hide behind adults. I was hiding behind their masks, as well as my own. Those layers of masking are falling away. I see and experience myself differently now. I’ve found an opening towards my true self in a way that I’ve never known before. I’m accepting and growing into my womanhood.”
